Grace Polit was born in Santiago de Guayaquil in Ecuador, South America.

She began her art studies in the National School of Fine Arts in Lima, Peru, and continued them at the Royal Academy of San Fernando in Madrid and the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.

In her childhood she took part in several stories for children, which have been published by radio as part of the compania de Actores lead by Maria Mille, Lima, Peru 1951.

Grace studied classical Ballet with Trudy Kressel in Lima between 1952 - 1954

She began her studies of Arts in the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Lima, Peru, 1958

1963 - 1966 She continues studying arts en the Real Academia in San Fernando in Madrid, Spain

1967 - 1969 Besides her arts studies she performed in the radio, cine and television in Madrid

1966 - 1969 Arts Director in the gallery Sicodelik de Monterrey - Mexico

From 1973 till 1977 she was engaged in restoration work at the Museum of Colonial Art and National Artistic Patrimony of Ecuador.

She has been award numerous prizes and medals.

She has become internationally recognized and has succeeded in creating a new interpretation in her work which has won acclaim for her paintings both from the general public and from critics.

 

1970 She worked out the draft of the Vitro-mural "El Descubrimiento del Mar del Sur" (de 15 m²) en Punta Paitilla, Panama,
